Important things to remember about 9-1-1..........
DO NOT USE 9-1-1 for informational
purposes like school closings,
telephone numbers, directions, road and weather conditions.
DO USE 9-1-1 to report motor
vehicle accidents, any type of fire, any crimes in
progress and any type of medical emergency

When you call 9-1-1 be prepared
to supply the following information;
- What is the emergency ?
- Where is the emergency ?
- Who needs help ?
- Is the victim conscious ?
- Is the victim breathing ?
Things to remember when calling 9-1-1;
- remain calm
- speak clearly and slowly
- be prepared to possibly administer CPR
or other emergency assistance
by following the 9-1-1
operators instructions
- and always remember to have your house
numbers clearly visible on your
mailbox and/or residence
