Marine Resource Warden Devereaux & the airboat

The Brunswick Police Department’s Marine Unit is a specialized law enforcement entity. The current Marine Warden is Daniel Devereaux, who has been a member of the police department since 1997 and is a certified Ice Rescue Specialist and a certified Rescue Boat Operator. The Marine Unit patrols 66 miles of inter-tidal coastline and works closely with the Maine Marine Patrol and the United States Coast Guard in search and rescue operations along the coast of Maine. It is manned year round and is responsible for all recreational and environmental law enforcement actions within the municipal boundaries. The Unit is also responsible for all shoreline surveys, water quality testing and shellfish production counts within the Town of Brunswick.
